Originally pesto was prepared in a marble mortar with wooden pestle … we left the flavor in, but took the work out! Simply Organic® Sweet Basil Pesto Mix fast, fresh and flavorful – it’s basilicious!
Size: .53 oz. Ingredients: Organic Basil, Organic Potato Starch, Organic Maltodextrin, Sea Salt, Organic Garlic, Citric Acid, Organic Black Pepper, Silicon Dioxide.
Directions
1. In a saucepan, mix packet contents with 1/2 cup water and 1/4 cup olive oil, stirring until completely dissolved. Cook over medium-high heat, while stirring constantly. 2. Remove from heat immediately once pesto comes to a boil. 3. Add pesto to freshly prepared pasta, 8 oz. dry. Stir in 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese. Makes 3-4 servings.
